Early and Early (2011) stressed on two important principles, one was not all prophets are developed or trained, people are also born to be prophets (Jeremiah 1:5; Romans 8:30). The second thing was a prophet and a prophetic people need an appropriate environment to be divinely ordained by God for personal development, which includes a series of events and cycles of preparations (Galatians 4:1- 7; Genesis 14:14; Exodus 24:13; Galatians 2:9; Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Prophetic people must be taught, trained, developed, and activated in terms of their purpose, place, position, and potential in the prophetic ministry. According to Early and Early (2011), no prophetic person is exempted from the requirement of having godly character and bearing fruit in the spiritual realm. Regardless of the degree of prophetic gifts you have or the degree of prophetic dimension you are called to, there must be consistent development in your spiritual growth, which would allow you to serve in the prophetic sphere appointed to you. These are the things that are imparted in a school of prophets, which emphasizes on the need for the establishment of one in the 21st century.
Find your delight in the will of God. Everywhere you go, you have to look for God’s will for your life. Look for his system. Make sure you are in divine order. When you are in divine order, you have divine favor. Solomon said, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm” (Proverbs 13:20, NIV).
If you're hanging with wise people, you're going to be wise because you're operating in the same wisdom principles as they are. You're going to be doing what they're doing. If you are hanging around with crack heads, you're going to be smoking crack. You become who you walk with. You have to ask yourself the question. Who are you walking with? If you are walking with a companion of fools, you are going to be destroyed.
The embracing of destiny will bring change to the scene of your life.
When you embrace destiny, your life will change forever. When you embrace destiny, and you are not in destiny before or in the will of God, everything will change in your life because wrong decisions connect you with wrong people. When you get around with right people, you will make right decisions.
John operated under the spirit of Elijah to prepare Israel to receive Jesus at his first coming. Jesus declared he would come again once and for all to restore all things. Many voices will be required to prepare the entire earth for the one who will restore all things. Under the spirit of Elijah, the school of prophets is part of the process that will affect all peoples.
The prophetic ministry that Jesus declared to prepare the people for his second coming will be under such a pressure that they would require trainings. The fathers and the sons or the mentors and the students cannot carry this out by themselves. They need a company of prophets or a mentorship that will establish this ministry. This is described as a mutually dependent ministry, which is achieved through a school of prophets that would allow it to release the Word of the Lord to all peoples.
