False Prophets Will Exist

“But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.  And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?  When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18:20-22 KJV)

The Lord knew from the very moment of His creation that false prophets will exist. The wicked will rule the earth. Even when Jesus saved us from all our trespasses, the rise of the men of sin will still occur. Christ predicted that many will “prophesy” in his name, but will still be considered immoral. Paul spoke of the last days, “And then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan e\with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this because God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12)

The Wicked, who will be known as “Antichrist” will exist in the last days. The Book of Revelation called them the “Beast”. They will perform outstanding wonders which will cause the people to be deceived and misled. Sadly, even Christians are expected to be deceived by them.  The Apostle John gave his warning about the beast. It says in Revelations 13:13-16, “And he does great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceived them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound of a sword and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

False prophets deceive themselves as angels. They will look good and righteous before the eyes of men. The time of this deceiving will happen and we must armor ourselves with what is written in the scripture. The term “prophet” in the Bible means not only to “fore-tell” the future, but one who can “forth-tell” teachings to an audience as an ordinary speaker. The Beast was powered by Satan and will disguise himself as a cherub. Do not be fooled for Satan was once this “fallen angel” of the Lord. The enemy is a great deceiver. Do not be tempted to believe false prophecies.
