On the Road
It has been spoken of in the Bible, there are two roads we walk on. One wide and broad and the other straight and narrow. The difference between these roads is the way people will feel upon walking on them. Being wide and broad, that road will appear to be welcoming and gracious with the traveler unaware of what lies at the end. The correct path with the eternal goal in sight lies on the straight and narrow path.
Matthew 7: 13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
It is not an easy path to take. One must keep an eye on the glory of God if he were to make it through. It is a small price to pay for the treasures the Lord has in store for us all. The blessings are boundless. The true victory lies beyond the life we live here. Let us prepare to receive this goodness by staying firm and diligent on the true path. Amen.
