Minor or major setbacks are part of our everyday distractions from our daily goals. What do you do when things don’t go as planned? How you face the challenges that arise as soon as you start your day says a lot about the kind of person that you are.
There is much to be said about one’s attitude when dealing with situations. What do you do when the problem is staring you right in the face? There are two types of people: the complainer and the leader.
The complainer, as soon as the problem is there or as soon as he/she finds it hard to deal with a situation, will, as you may have guessed, start to complain. The complainer can think of a billion reasons to speak negatively and make up excuses. Passive and active whining. Making even a simple problem be even more burdensome. You won’t go far being a complainer.
The leader is a fixer. The leader, upon seeing a chance to apply what he/she learns through problem solving, will most likely rejoice instead of whine about the problem. This type of mindset helps in not only figuring out a solution quicker but also make the problem lighter.
The leader is a great person to work with while the complainer, not so much. The time is now for you to decide which of the two are you. Are you a leader or a complainer?
Of course, it’s not easy to stereo-typically be either of the two, rather, it is a work in progress. When you decide what you want to be, then you will know the course of action which you will take. The choices we make help us become what we want to be. So set your goals. Don’t falter. The Lord is on your side. Ask and pray for His guidance to be what He wants you to be.
